Cost- $125: $50 each additional hour

Description:

These lessons are tailored for all levels of handgun experience.  This is a one-on-one session that could be for the student who has never fired a handgun or has very little experience.  It is also for those who have taken our 1-day or 2-day course and are looking to improve on a specific area of training or to maintain a high level of training.  This class is also for those who would like to spread out their training, like a "workout" type schedule.

  • Eye and Ear protection (electronic muffs recommended)
  • Handgun (please see FAQs)
  • Minimum 100 rounds of ammunition
  • Minimum of 5 Training rounds ( Must be very apparent that they inert )
  • Minimum of 2 magazines
  • Magazine pouch(es) (for those who already own them or have previously taken our classes)
  • Sturdy gun belt (for those who already own one or have previously taken our classes)
  • Strong side holster (for those who already own one or have previously taken our classes)
  • Gloves (optional)
  • Water
  • FOR OUTDOOR RANGE LESSONS: (recommended) seasonal appropriate clothing/rain gear, sunblock, baseball style hat, bug spray

BASIC 1-DAY HANDGUN COURSE

Cost- $250.00 (minimum 4-6 students)

Description:

This full-day class is great for someone who has never fired a handgun or has little experience shooting one.  This is a basic class to instill confidence in your ability to safely use your firearm by setting a solid foundation on the modern shooting techniques used by the best shooting professionals in the civilian, military and law enforcement community.  When you have completed our course, you will have the skills to go to the range on your own and the ability to move forward into our more advanced courses.

  • Philosophy on handguns and types of handguns
  • Proper cleaning and lubrication of firearm
  • Ammunition types and uses
  • Equipment and gear selection
  • Fundamentals of marksmanship

  • Proper loading and unloading procedures
  • Reloading techniques
  • Malfunctions 
  • Dry/Live fire training
  • Myriad of drills
  • Developing a training program
  • Skills evaluation and counseling

  • Firearms cleaning and lubrication equipment

  • Minimum of 5 Training rounds ( Must be very apparent that they are inert )
  • Minimum of 4 magazines.  Single stack shooters, minimum 7 magazines.
  • Minimum of 2 magazine pouches.  Single stack shooters, minimum 4 pouches.  
  • Sturdy gun belt (double thickness)
  • Strong side holster (kydex or leather)
  • Gloves (optional)
  • Water hydrating device
  • Bag lunch and snacks
  • Seasonal appropriate clothing/rain gear

INTERMEDIATE 1-DAY HANDGUN COURSE

This class is designed for those who have already taken our Basic 1-Day Handgun Course or have similiar training experience through law enforcement, military, competition experience, or haven taken previous courses from recognized firearms training companies.  This course is for those looking to enhance and improve upon their previous handgun training.  We will continue to instill a solid shooting foundation as well as introduce hangun manipulation techniques and tactics, enabling you to better protect yourself and others.  Learning these battle-proven tactics and techniques will take you to a whole new level.  Those students who complete this course will be better prepared to move into our advanced training program.

Prerequisites:

Must have sucessfully completed our Basic 1-Day Handgun Course with instructor's recommendation for the Intermediate 1-Day Handgun Course.  We will also except sucessful completion of a handgun class by a recognized firearms company.  Previous military, law enforcement, or competition handgun experience considered as well.
